Seth Portner - Founder & Sr. Consultant

Former principal at Populus, the climate adaptation and mitigation firm acquired by CLEAResult in 2015, Seth has 20 years of experience working on climate adaptation and mitigation programs at the local government, utility, state level.  Seth has a deep passion for helping communities navigate through the changing climate and helping their residents and businesses be more resilient. He holds a BA in Religious Studies, and a MS in Energy Management from the University of Colorado. 

Sam Schanfarber - Adaptation Associate

Having worked in both industrial design consulting and for nonprofits, Sam is seasoned at identifying risk and creating programmatic solutions. His background includes creating educational programs at the first nonprofit to go through the Techstars Boulder accelerator and for CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business - Deming Center for Entrepreneurship. Sam brings his passion for the outdoors & environmental stewardship to his careful examination of adaptation solutions for the communities ASG serves. He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a focus in political science from CU Boulder. ​  

Nancy Portner - Communications Director

A public relations and marketing professional, Nancy has 15+ years industry experience in branding, promotions and publicity campaigns. She thrives at melding creativity with various forms of technology to properly communicate an organization's message.  Nancy holds a BS in Business and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado.
